McArthy Baits 3″ Finesse Minnow night session

I just got back from hot, spur of the moment night session using the new McArthy Baits finesse minnows. The trip was not planned and because of that I was unfortunately not packing a camera. I did manage a quick snap on the phone so I apologise in advance about the quality.
Bream in the Swan can be fussy at the best of times. Let alone trying to fish for these guys after dark. After a quick look at the local jetty on the way home from work I noticed some sheepish black bream hiding amongst the pylons. Not prepared at all I decided to try out out of the McArthy Finesse minnows on an unweighted worm hook, I figured it was worth a shot.
Immediately the Finesse minnow was smashed by a little Black Bream. This started a feeding frenzy and I managed up with 5 Bream before they shut down. To say I was surprised was an understatement. A fussy black bream, after dark, on a plastic just does not happen. But it did tonight. Albeit the fish where only just on legal size but fun never the less.
For those interested I was using the McArthy Finesse Minnow 3″ in “Goldfish” colour.

I’ll definitely be giving these a whirl during the day sometime soon, hopefully a bit better prepared second time round. If your after some thing different to try, why not try fishing unweighted McArthy Finesse minnows after dark. Hopefully you will have as much success as I did!
